Marcello Carammia
Marcello Carammia is a Senior Lecturer in European politics at the Institute for European Studies of the University of Malta, that he joined in October 2011. He received a Ph.D in Comparative and European Politics at the University of Siena in 2008, and between 2009 and 2011 was a post-doctoral fellow and an adjunct professor at the University of Catania. He has been a visiting scholar at the Universities of Sheffield, Zaragoza, and at the Center for European Studies of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research focuses on comparative and EU politics and public policy. He is particularly interested in immigration policy, political parties, and the relationship between institutional and political change. He is also a member of the Italian Policy Agendas Project and Fellow at the Montesquieu Institute.
